Estate Sagrantino 2016

One of our most unique wines! Estate Sagrantino is our fullest bodied, driest and most tannic red, not for the faint of heart.  The grape hails from the Umbria region of Italy.  Its fruit prolife ranges from black cherries to ripe blackberry, wiht many secondary spicy and earthy characteristics.  Sagrantino has some of the highest antioxidants of any red wine.  Consider decanting for an hour before serving.  Food suggestions are rare steak, cream based sauces, wild mushrooms, cheese and sausage.
