Estate Melange Noir
Paul Beveridge has been producing award-winning wine since 1988, and the Seattle attorney’s brand is the oldest continuously operating winery in Seattle. Nearly 20 years later, he established his vineyard in the Naches Heights American Viticultural Area, and that biodynamic site creates the Meritage-style release that leads with Cabernet Franc (33%).
The theme is of sweet dark purple fruit, akin to president plum, blueberry and Marionberry with sweet herbs. The hedonistic entry leads to juicy acidity, dusty tannins and lavender, which lead to an easy finish of black currant.
This wines are available at The Tasting Room Seattle at Pike Place Market and The Tasting Room Yakima, which is in Beveridge’s Naches Heights vineyard. This wine earned a gold medal at the 2015 Great Northwest Wine Competition as well as the 2015 Capital Food and Wine Festival Competition.
